Cecilia & Lionel traveled over from their home in Macau for their very important overseas photo shoot in Prague. The bride2be arrived bedecked in designer diamond and pearl jewelry. She also had 3 stunning outfits: wedding dress, a stunning red evening dress and a gorgeous light blue evening dress. And who can forget her fantastic shoes!
Not to be outdone, Lionel was impeccably outfitted with his bespoke bowties, hand made shoes, suits and a vintage walking stick. And as we yanks like to say: 'He looked like a boss!'
As Macau is one of those incredibly modern cities, they opted for a decidedly more European feel to their images, they did not mind the tourist laden city streets. They also loved having the posed / art directed look as it pays homage to a more formal style of portraits that their parents had when they were married.
This stylish portrait of them overlooking the Vltava with the boats underneath on a summer day is one of many created during their pre wedding. What I especially enjoyed about this warm couple is their excitement in seeing and experiencing more. Coming to the end of an 8 hour photo session they could have easily gone for more.
Everywhere we went that wonderful day in Prague lent itself to a wonderful experience worth capturing. Some of their favorite favs were the ones simply showcasing just how modern, fun and in love these two really are.

This session started in the daylight hours as the couple wanted to spend time visiting several of Prague's most iconic gardens. The gardens we visited are as follows: The Wallenstein as well as our small 'secret garden'. In addition, we spent time visiting the Letna overlook which is a very popular place for couples wishing to have images captured showing the city of Prague down below.
A short visit to the riverside was followed up with the 2nd outfit change: a stylish red dress. As these two are from China, having portraits captured in that very stylish red dress was important and as such we used the architecture of the National Theater (Narodni Divadlo) as their backdrop. The surrounding area of Narodni was also used as these two did not mind at all having tourists and the very busy street scenes of Prague in their backgrounds. For the sunset part of our session we spent it on the Charles Bridge where our couple were able to enjoy the atmosphere of this unique & historic location.
After the sunset we had one final outfit change and it was decided a more editorial styled set of portraits were to be captured of several art nouveau buildings near the National Theater. The session duration was approximately 12 hours of shooting over the course of the entire day.
